Abstract

This activity is one form of the Tri-Dharma of higher education, namely community service.The activity was carried out in collaboration with lecturers and students in the Department of Architecture Engineering, Facultyof Science and Technology, UIN Maulana Malik Ibrahim Malang.The location of the activity is kampung around campus 1 of UIN Maulana Malik Ibrahim Malang, namely Sumbersari Malang City, East Java.The activity is a mural of residents' houses and the Sumbersari kampung area around the campus.The mural aims to provide a forum for students' academic creativity according to their knowledge while studying in the Department of Architecture Engineering.Benefits for residents and the environment in the form of comfort and aesthetics of the environment.In addition, murals can provide information and education by giving messages and advice to the public. This activity also provides an education that murals are not an act of destroying the environment (vandalism ) and showing the perpetrators' misbehavior, but their real purpose is to organize and beautify the space in which we live.A well-managed mural can maintain the function of the building and the area in a sustainable manner
