Abstract

Cyrtodactylus is a fauna group from the Reptile Class, Family Gekkonidae, which plays an important role in maintaining the balance of the ecosystem, food chain, and environmental bioindicators. The development of the genus Cyrtodactylus has been relatively fast in the last two decades with the discovery of more than 130 species. East Java is a province included in the Sunda Shelf. The history of the development of biogeography records that East Java in the Paleozen and Middle Meiozen Periods was a separate part of West Java and Central Java. Geographical isolation caused by natural or man-made factors can limit the distribution of a species and lead to the formation of morphological characters in each population. This study aims to explain the analysis of the kinship of the genus Cyrtodactylus in East Java based on the ND2 gene. This type of research is descriptive statistics. witobjects in the form of taxa sequence data both ingroup and outgroup derived from the mitochondrial genome (mtDNA), namely NADH Dehydrogenase Subunit 2 (ND2) and its outgroup. The methods used in the in sillico research are Maximum Likelihood, Neighbor Joining and Bayesian Inference. Data analysis in sillico by identifying the bootsrap value of each method and identifying tree species resulting from phylogenetic analysis. The phylogenetic tree formed shows that the entire genus Cyrtodactylus from East Java is monophyletic, indicated by a tree topology located in the same common ancestor and lineages. Differences in ND2 gene sequences are influenced by several internal and external factors. It is hoped that in the future this research can be used as the basis for systematic research, morphological variations and biogeography.
