Abstract

The purpose of this study was to determine whether the family environment and peers influence the social studies learning motivation of students at SMPN 3 Tumpang partially or simultaneously. The research method used in this research is using a quantitative approach. The population of this study were all students of SMPN 3 Tumpang totaling 83 children. Data collection techniques using questionnaires and documentation. Data analysis using multiple linear regression analysis, t test and f test, also the coefficient of determination. From this study, the t-count results were 3.810 and 3.315, respectively, which was greater than the t-table which was only 1.993. The results of the f test found f-count of 32,927 which is greater than f-table, which is 3.09. This shows that the family environment and peers have a significant influence on the social studies learning motivation of the students of SMPN 3 Tumpang, either partially or simultaneously.
