Abstract

This article contains of discussion about the relationship between the state and religion which is still a polemic in the political, social, and cultural realms. And controversion between the form of the State, the form of government and its characteristics. so that the discussion on the historical and paradigmatic dimensions becomes very important in providing a comprehensive understanding of the relation between religion and the state. This article uses the library method. This approach is used by reading literature related to the research theme or research subject matter and The types of data used in this study are primary and secondary data sources. The purpose of this article is to find out and analyze the relationship between the state and religion, especially Islam. also to know about the historical and paradigmatic form of state and government. Is there a balance between the state and religion and have a symbiotic relationship of mutualism, mutual benefit and mutual need. or on the contrary rejecting and separating the issues of the State and religion.
