Abstract

These values should be constructed in the Islamic Education Curriculum, with universal principles and the principle of balance and also the principle of justice. In the study of pesantren, the kiai has a central role where this happens because the level of knowledge possessed by a kiai is very high. Sociologically, the role of the kiai has advantages in the community as an influential figure and allows him to contribute to various educational problems in pesantren and also in society. Humanistic education methods can be done through habituation methods, and giving lessons or advice, reward and sanctions methods, as well as exemplary methods from kyai and their teachers. Class-based, school culture-based or pesantren-based and community-based pesantren alumni.
