Abstract

This paper aims to describe Islamic religious values that are inserted through learning Arabic. The object studied in this paper focuses on the material contained in the Arabic language textbooks Al-Arabiyyah Li Al-Nasyi'in volume 1 and Al-Arabiyyah Baina Yadaik volume 1 published in Saudi Arabia and have been used in several countries. The study in this paper is presented descriptively with analysis techniques on the content presented in textbooks. Data retrieval is done by registering a corpus of words or expressions related to Islamic values and then classifying the values found. The results of the analysis show that the Arabic books Al-Arabiyyah Li Al-Nasyi'in and Al-Arabiyyah Baina Yadaik contain the values of Islamic teachings which can be grouped into three categories of values, namely personal values, family values and social values. Personal values include worship, religious insight, and personal life ethics. Family values include ethical behavior towards parents, siblings and other family members. Social values include the ethics of interacting with others. In addition, the two books also insert verses from the Alquran as practice material in learning the sounds of language.
