Abstract

This material introduces students of Academic Writing class to understand the goal of academic writing, to understand the nature of argumentation, and to identify whether an argumentative essay is good or not. In addition, elements of arguments are also analyzed and practiced in class. Students are equipped to with the skill to identify types of claim used and evaluate author's way to defend his/her claim.
