Abstract

Nganal-Kodew' is a column in the Radar Malang. This phrase means 'lanang-wedok' or male-female, which is a typical of Malang phrase. The high rate of divorce in Malang is the main factor behind the presence of this column. The problem of divorce, infidelity and domestic violence became the main theme. This article discusses how to Radar Malang educates people through the rubric of 'Nganal-Kodew'. This study suggests that presenting domes–tic problems through literary journalism plays an important role in educating people. To draw attention to the readers, the language used in the rubric is figurative and the depictions used have the element of human touch (touch human curiosity).
