Abstract
This book has been written in order to fulfil a great need for book on Virtual Reality (VR) in EFL reading classroom. The necessity motivated the author to write such kind of book which is assumed to be required as a reference book for the teachers or anyone who wants to implement VR as learning media in reading class. Designed in four essential sections; pre-video reading activities, whilst-reading activities, glossary, and questions about the given video story, this textbook allows the students to explore and sharpen their reading skill through the innovation of VR technology. The materials of this book utilized YouTube as the online video source which can be accessed easily by anyone. All ten reading materials were aimed to liven up the reading class atmosphere and also stimulate the students’ critical thinking through attractive way using audio-visual stimuli. The book entitled “VIDEO STORY READING” is intended to give several references of video story with the following of related vocabularies enrichment and analytical questions. This book is suitable for intermediate to advanced English learners such as the students who enroll in tertiary education. Vocabularies and questions which were written in the materials require higher level of comprehension to understand its meaning.
