Abstract

Writing skill is one of the most important language skills, because mastering this skill develops the level of other language skills. Among the strategies for teaching writing skill is to analyze the writing errors that students made frequently. This research aims to analyze the written errors in the texts of ilqa’ kalimat among students of i’dad lughawi at STIBA Ar Raayah Sukabumi, classify their types, describe the percentage of written errors in them, and mention the reasons for their occurrence. This research uses the descriptive analytical method. This research reached the following results: (1) Clerical errors in the texts of ilqa’ kalimat 73 errors: 40 errors in spelling, 22 errors in structure, 8 errors in expression, and 3 errors in writing dalil (evidence). (2) Types of clerical errors: spelling errors, syntax errors, expression errors, and errors in writing evidence. (3) The percentage of clerical errors: 54.7% in spelling, 30.1% in structure, 10.9% in expression, and 4.1% in writing evidence. (4) The reasons for the occurrence of errors: First: the causes of spelling errors: poor comprehension of rules, lack of exercises, errors in pronunciation, and lack of care in application. Second: The reasons for the syntax errors: poor comprehension of the rules, lack of training, lack of good understanding of the text, and lack of attention from hearing from the audio reference. Third: The reasons for errors of expression: Weak linguistic taste, getting used to hearing the Indonesian expression, and not practicing Arabic expression.
