Abstract

The development of World Class University has become a policy agenda for various stakeholders around the world. World Class University is no longer an option but a necessity for universities to survive in global competition. At the global level, the label 'World Class University' brings prestige and attracts the best students to come. The proportion is to attract the best students and provide the best education. This will produce the best graduates and have high competitiveness in the job market. The development of universities with the title of world class university is also carried out at UIN Maulana Malik Ibrahim and Youngsan University. This research focus on three aspects: Describe the background of UIN Maulana Malik Ibrahim Malang and Youngsan Korea University in designing programs to become world-class campuses. Explain the implementation of World Class University values at UIN Maulana Malik Ibrahim Malang and Youngsan University Korea. To identify the similarities and differences in the application of World Class University values at UIN Maulana Malik Ibrahim Malang and Yongsan University Korea as well as the theoretical implications of campus development in global competition. This research is an empirical research This study attempts to describe the application of world class university values at UIN Maulana Malik Ibrahim and Youngsan University. A number of WCU indicators use the Balance-score card as a measurement tool. Thus, field studies at the two educational institutions are the right choice in completing this research. This research will be conducted in two countries, at UIN Maulana Malik Ibrahim Malang and Youngsan University Korea. Research data will be collected using the following methods: First, semi-structured interviews The results of this study indicate that UIN Maulana Malik Ibrahim Malang and Youngsan University have a strong commitment to become an international class university, as stipulated in the strategic plan of each campus. The implementation of Balanced Scorecard at UIN Malang and Youngsan University is unique. Youngsan University manages the university like a company so that it can easily adjust to two jobs. Meanwhile, UIN Maulana Malik Ibrahim needs to transform as a legal entity in order to manage international standard education optimally.
