Abstract

English is taught to the Indonesian people from an early age or early language learning education. In recent years, there are still many student limitations that are still problematic for Young learner students, such as tantrums, speech delays, and hearing impairment disability. Every human being has potential that must be developed, both normal and humans with disability of hearing. The aims of this research are 1). To know teacher strategy in Teaching Learning EYL for Hearing Impaired Trilingual Student; 2). To know the Implementation of Full Total Communication in EYL for Hearing Impaired Trilingual Student; 3). To know the code-mixing and code-switching of English during the Teaching Learning of EYL for Hearing Impaired Trilingual Student. The method used in this study is a case study. The subject of this research is a student of SEN School who uses three languages in learning English. The results obtained in this study are 1). The implementation of Full Total Communication used by students is lip reading, finger spelling, signing, and simultaneous communication; 2). The strategy used by the teacher in learning English is to Pay attention to language development and student’s communication sequencing, pay attention to student’s bilingual options, focus more on visual and written communication, and use Full Total Communication 3). Emblematic code-switching occurred 11 times, and intra-sentential code mixing occurred 14 times.
