Abstract

This research aims to describe and disseminate the formulated academic vision of the Master's Program in Arabic Language Education (Prodi MPBA) while mapping the research directions that should be developed by the program, faculty, and students in the preparation of theses as the final tasks for Master's degree students. Through this research, it is anticipated that the academic vision of Prodi MPBA at UIN Malang can be identified, understood, and realized by the entire academic community in Prodi MPBA. Subsequently, this vision is expected to be translated into outstanding and nationally or internationally reputable research outcomes. This research aims to achieve the following objectives: From the research findings, the following conclusions can be draw: a) The mission of the MPBA program is to produce outstanding master's graduates with national and international reputation, and Ulul Albab character. The objectives of the MPBA program are: (1) to provide wider access to master's education in Arabic language education to the community, and (2) Subsequently, based on these references, 10 procedural steps have been developed in formulating and establishing the scholarly vision of the program. The ten procedures include: (1) internal vision integration, (2) needs evaluation and analysis, (3) communication and documentation, (4) literature review, (5) strategic planning, (6) curriculum development, (7) resource allocation, (8) regular evaluation and monitoring, (9) partnerships and networks, (10) research and publication development. C) The research map (roadmap research) of the MPBA program is formulated based on three foundations: the external foundation of UIN Malang, the internal foundation of UIN Malang, and the foundation of the MPBA program. With these foundations, the research map of the MPBA program includes three research divisions: theoretical research (basic research, fundamental research), practical research (applied research, practical research), and development research (research and development). Each division covers various research themes, making the research map of MPBA comprehensive and wide-ranging, promoting research with inter and multidisciplinary approaches that align with the scholarly vision of the MPBA program.
