Abstract

Fiqh siyasah, or Islamic politics, is nothing new; there is some truth in this kind of expression. Islam must have a political pattern. However, politics is not one of the features that Islam has; there are many other features that Islam has. Suppose Islam only has a political pattern without any other features that should exist. In that case, such Islam is a partial Islam, an Islam that represents specific interests, not a general Islam. The emergence of Islamic variants with a powerful political style is driven by the weakness or even the political downturn of Muslims in Indonesia. There are indeed many political concepts in Indonesia that need to be compatible with Islamic teachings. Moreover, often without realizing it, political figures from political parties with Islamic nuances do not use Islamic politics. This is what is very risky because our citizens still need to be able to differentiate between Islamic teachings and the attitudes of Islamic political figures. This research uses a literature study method using various literature such as books, articles and scientific journals as the primary sources and references to assist in obtaining material relevant to the studied problem. The research results explain that politics is closely related to power in government, which is related to the duties and responsibilities of a leader in managing and administering society in a country. However, in its development, politics has been positioned only as an interest in achieving formal power in government, so it is not uncommon for social inequality, arbitrary treatment and other political crimes to be committed by politicians or government institutions, which have an impact on very high disparities in society.
