Visionary leadership is formulating, transforming, executing and moving the ideal thoughts that come from the citizens themselves and the school that believed to be the ideals of the school in the future. Whereas the purpose of this qualitative research are multiple cases. And this is to describe the characteristics of visionary leadership at SD Unggulan Ya'lu Malang and SDI Alam Bilingual Surya Buana Malang, described the leadership of visionary visionary soul building and comparison of the two institutions. The results of this study describes characteristics of the visionary leadership of both of these institutions that have the soul of integrity, deciding the direction of adaptation and soul, positive thinking, discipline and traditions of competition. Two models of such visionary leadership primary school build visionary souls on the citizens of the school based on the personification of the vision and leadership of the principal, reference values and beliefs, emotional maturity and teacher, self-evaluation, and drafting plans for human resource development. Meanwhile, the leadership of visionary organized the schools based on values, example, professional, constancy, trustful, endowments, the tradition of competition and self discipline. Visionary leadership emphasized the different advantages of one with the other institutions. Leadership is the soul and affirming the values that confirm the tradition of excellence on the citizens of the school. History proves the school collapsed due to waning leadership that do not edify the vision that became the core of the development agencies.
