Abstract

This study discusses the redefinition of 'iddah which is intended for men, 'iddah if it only applies to women is discrimination for women, this is important to study because there has been a rapid development of science, and the feminism movement has spread massively throughout the world, so that this triggers a lot of resistance and demands for everything that discriminates against women. The purpose of this study was to look for the urgency of the presence of 'male iddah in the Twin Towers multidisciplinary integration review. This research method is library reaserch. With data analysis techniques using content analysis. The results of the study found that (1) With a multidisciplinary integration point of view, an approach to the integration paradigm emerged between religious sciences and general sciences, even so, religious science was still laid as the basic foundation. (2) In Islamic law 'iddah is compulsory for women and not compulsory for men, and some argue that the legal basis of 'iddah is a temporal proposition. (3) With a multidisciplinary integrative perspective, there is a function of reflection, and reconciliation. So that 'idddah in a multidisciplinary integrative perspective can apply to women as well as to men.
