Abstract
Flood disasters are still the focus of the government, because flooding in this case causes casualties and losses. This disaster occurred due to a water spill from the maximum limit of the water catchment area, therefore it is necessary to have an early sensing device for the water level. In this research, the objective is to monitor the water level online as an early report of the occurrence of this disaster. This monitoring uses a program that utilizes the Internet of Things (IoT) so that water level reports can be found in real time. The HC-SR 04 Ultrasonic Sensor is used as a water level reader and the Arduino UNO R3 as a catcher processor and then sends data wirelessly to the ThingsSpeak application so that it can be read from both smartphones and websites. The results of this research are a water level reading device that can provide a safe or dangerous altitude report and can provide notes. The results of this prototype show the reading of the water level in 2 seconds and the reception of the reading in real time appears on the user's device via the Thingspeak platform
