Abstract
Evidence of fairness indicated by item equality functioning between groups compared. Items unfairness showed by differential item functioning (DIF). This study aimed at identify items of Potensi Akademik (PA) Seleksi Penerimaan Mahasiswa Baru – Perguruan Tinggi Agama Islam Negeri (SPMB-PTAIN) that contained differential item functioning (DIF) based on graduated school (Madrasah Aliyah Negeri – Sekolah Menengah Atas Negeri, MAN – SMAN, MS). Analyzing to data response (n = 10000, 5000 from MAN and 5000 from SMAN) by likelihood ratio test (LRT), the result showed that: (1) 12 items of analogy, logic, arithmetic and comparison components were significantly contained DIF favored SMAN; (2) 3 items of analogy and arithmetic components contained DIF favored MAN.
