Abstract
During the past pandemic, human movement contributed to the spread of the COVID-19 virus. The Geographic Information System (GIS) provided simple tracking of a person's journey and the number of times their body had been sterilized for virus prediction. This chapter described the COVID-19 monitoring system based on the Internet of Things (IoT)-GIS, with hardware and software as the system's two primary components. The hardware component is a temperature sensor-equipped chamber, and the software component is a Web-based system that offers real-time chamber location and human temperature conditions in each chamber. The device was deployed in high-traffic public venues like universities, offices, and hospitals to capture and monitor people's temperatures and collect data on possible instances. The IoT subsystem sent the information to the server. Finally, a Web-based Artificial Intelligence (AI) analysis was converted, and the information was uploaded to the public website.
