Abstract

The development of fruit chip business that is able to meet demand in the domestic market, Kayavit strives to be able to export its production. This study aims to find out how the strategy used by Kayavit to penetrate the global market and the challenges faced in implementing Kayavit's effective MSME strategy to Go International? This research method is qualitative, with case studies as an approach, the interview technique used involves the main informant of business owners and supporting informants are MSME workers Kayavit KotaMalang. Data collection techniques using interviews, observation, and documentation. The results obtained from this research are that Kayavit MSMEs have succeeded in penetrating foreign markets, namely Singapore and Malaysia. The obstacle faced by Kayavit in penetrating the international market is that all global demand has not been met due to insufficient production capacity. Bureaucracy related to complicated export products and foreign competitors who sell similar products at lower prices. Contributing research to help vegetable and fruit farmers improve the family economy, UMKM Kayavit develops quality vegetable and fruit chips by purchasing raw materials from local farmers.
