Abstract

This article discusses the importance of communication management carried out by madrasah heads to improve teacher performance. In creating a quality institution, cooperation between madrasa heads and teachers is certainly needed. In this collaboration, communication management is needed so that communication can be effective and efficient. The research method used uses a qualitative research approach and data collection techniques such as observation, interviews and documentation. The results of this research show that communication management carried out by madrasah heads includes 1) planning and organizing including determining goals, objectivesand targets; 2) implementation of communication managementthrough formal and informal methods. 3) Meanwhile, evaluation is carried out through supervision carried out by the madrasa head. Based on the results of this supervision, the head of the madrasah can later direct him to see to what extent communication management has been successful in improving teacher performance.
