Abstract

'Nganal-Kodew' is a column in the Radar Malang. This phrase means 'lanang-wedok' or male-female, which is a typical of Malang phrase. The high rate of divorce in Malang is the main factor behind the presence of this column. The problem of divorce, infidelity and domestic violence became the main theme. This article discusses how to Radar Malang educates people through the rubric of 'Nganal-Kodew'. This study suggests that presenting domes– tic problems through literary journalism plays an important role in educating people. To draw attention to the readers, the language used in the rubric is figurative and the depictions used have the element of human touch (touch human curiosity).

‘Nganal-Kodew’ merupakan rubrik di Koran Radar Malang. Frase ini berarti ‘lanang-wedok’ atau laki-perempuan, yang sekaligus frase khas Malang. Tinggiya tingkat perceraian di Malang meupakan faktor utama yang melatar– belakangi lahirnya rubrik ini, Problem perceraian, perseling– kuhan, dan kekerasan dalam rumah tangga menjadi tema utamanya. Tulisan ini membahas bagaimana cara Radar Malang mengedukasi masyarakat Malang melalui rubrik ‘Nganal-Kodew’ tersebut. Hasil studi ini menyatakan, bahwa cara penyajian problem rumah tangga melalui jurnalisme sastra memainkan peran penting dalam mengedukasi masyarakat. Sebagai rubrik yang tujuannya ingin mewarta– kan pesan tertentu kepada khalayak, ia dilengkapi penggu– naan bahasa figuratif dan penggambaran menarik perhatian pembaca dengan cara dibubuhi unsur human tou c h (sen– tuhan rasa penasaran manusia).
