Abstract
Understanding the particles that makeup objects are very important because it is related to everyday life and is the basis for mastering material at the next level. The difficulty of using the particles that makeup objects is caused by the use of inappropriate learning media. This study intends to determine the influence of the use of 3-dimensional animation on students' understanding of the material particles that make up objects. The experimental method of one group pre-test post-test was used in a study on 32 high school students. Data was collected using learning observation instruments and test instruments. The results showed that the applied 3- dimensional animation had a significant influence on students' understanding of concepts on the material of the particles that make up objects. In addition, the motivation to master the concept becomes higher during the learning process
