Abstract
This study aims to examine the implementation of a sustainable faculty housing design in the Trisakti Nagrak Campus master plan using Autodesk Revit-based Building Information Modeling (BIM) technology. The design seeks to optimize sustainability in terms of energy efficiency, water management, and creating a comfortable and healthy environment for residents. Simulations conducted in this research showed significant results in applying sustainability principles, including the use of renewable energy and efficient resource management.Key findings include the implementation of a photovoltaic system generating 26,181 kWh per year, saving energy costs of IDR 62,102,167.05 annually. Additionally, a rainwater harvesting system successfully collects 20,174.062 liters per year for irrigation and sanitation, reducing dependence on external water sources.Passive design strategies such as solar chimneys and optimal shading devices were applied to enhance natural ventilation and daylighting, helping reduce the need for artificial cooling and minimizing solar heat gain. This study contributes significantly to the development of sustainable housing designs within campus environments by utilizing BIM to design and simulate environmentally friendly building elements. The findings are expected to serve as a reference for designing more efficient, environmentally friendly, and sustainable campus buildings and housing, providing long-term economic and ecological benefits for campus resource management.
