Abstract

This book focuses on the development of a sign language dictionary SIBI & ASL," designed to serve as a comprehensive and accessible vocabulary resource for students with hearing impairments. The primary aim is to enhance inclusivity in language education by introducing an innovative tool that supports vocabulary acquisition through a thematic approach. Utilizing systematic data collection and analysis, the research identifies existing challenges faced by hearing-impaired students and offers a tailored solution in the form of an inclusive English-Indonesian Thematic Dictionary Book. This resource is intended to address communication barriers and improve learning outcomes for students in Special Education Schools (SLB). The findings lay the groundwork for the design of effective, practical learning media that cater to the unique needs of hearing-impaired learners.
