Abstract

This study aims to determine the internalization of signs of religious moderation among Muslim students at ITB and IPB universities and its implications for the deradicalization movement in Indonesia. There are 4 main pillars of a person who can be considered to have a moderate attitude, including commitment to nationality, tolerance, non-violence, and respect for local traditions and culture. This research uses a qualitative method with a phenomenological approach through data collection from in-depth interviews. In the context of this research, conclusions are drawn based on inductive logic. The conclusion of this study shows that the internalization of religious moderation in this university is quite good. This is evidenced by the responses of the respondents who behave by the 4 pillars of religious moderation initiated by the Ministry of Religion of the Republic of Indonesia.
