Abstract

The research project analyzes methods for promoting religious harmony in Indonesia and Thailand, particularly in Malang and Bangkok. The study employs a qualitative comparative methodology to examine the contributions of government institutions, religious leaders, and civil society in fostering interfaith dialogue and peace. In Indonesia, organized programs such as "Kampung Moderasi Beragama" and the Forum Kerukunan Umat Beragama (FKUB) are crucial, but Thailand depends on grassroots initiatives and symbolic participation from the monarchy. The results emphasize the value of both top-down governmental actions and bottom-up community initiatives in preserving religious harmony and averting interfaith disputes in heterogeneous communities.
