Abstract

Early marriage is a marital contract involving a child below the age of consent, a practice still prevalent in developing nations. Various factors contribute to early marriage, including economic pressures, community stigma, limited access to information, and a lack of knowledge. Early marriage carries numerous detrimental effects, such as higher divorce rates, unpreparedness for parenthood, and associated health issues like reproductive health problems in women. Cervical cancer, which primarily affects women, is one such health issue linked to early marriage. This article seeks to explore the Qur'anic response to the phenomenon of early marriage and its health implications, particularly cervical cancer. The research employs qualitative methods, drawing from classical Tafsir, academic journals, articles, and YouTube videos, to gather relevant data about the issues surrounding early marriage and cervical cancer. The insights provided in this article are intended to inform young individuals considering marriage about its potential impacts and to enhance public understanding of the persistent issues faced by societies in developing countries
