Abstract

This study aims to analyze the utilization of the Al-Maany Online Dictionary as an effective alternative in translating Arabic texts among students at IAIN Madura. The Al-Maany Dictionary, a popular online resource, offers various features that support the translation process from Arabic to Indonesian or other languages. This research employs a qualitative approach with a case study method involving students from the Arabic Language Education program at IAIN Madura. Data were collected through interviews, observations, and document analysis. The results show that the use of the Al-Maany Dictionary enhances students' understanding of the meanings of words and phrases in Arabic texts, although some challenges related to its features and translation accuracy were found. Nevertheless, the utilization of this dictionary proves to be an effective tool in the translation process, especially for students who are less familiar with the Arabic language. This study is expected to contribute to the development of Arabic language teaching methods in higher education, particularly in leveraging information technology to improve the translation skills of students.
