Abstract

Moringa leave is one part of the Moringa plant which are widely used as medicine because it contains active compounds, one of which is flavonoids which can ward off free radicals. This inquiry determined the antioxidant activity of the macerated extricate of Moringa leaves clears out in additional extra virgin olive oil dan virgin coconut oil utilizing the DPPH method using variations in extraction time and variations in the volume of tween 80. Variations were carried out by increasing the volume of tween 80 by 0 - 0.4 mL and extraction times of 2 - 4 hours. The addition of Tween 80 and long extraction time to the antioxidant activity of Moringa leaves in EVOO produced the best results at a Tween 80 volume of 0.4 mL and an extraction time of 4 hours with an EC50 of 106.848 ± 4.746 ppm. Meanwhile, VCO gave the best results at a volume of tween 80 0.4 mL with an extraction time of 4 hours producing an EC50 of 282,914 ± 10,008 ppm.
