Abstract
The global transformation toward the Society 5.0 era requires the education sector, including Islamic Religious Education (PAI), to address challenges such as limited technological proficiency among educators, insufficient curriculum contextualization, and students’ character crises through the implementation of quality control strategies in PAI. This study aims to explore strategic efforts to ensure high-quality PAI in responding to the digital era of Society 5.0, with a focus on the roles of school principals, teachers, and student- and environment-based approaches. The method employed is qualitative research using a library research approach. The findings indicate that quality control strategies for PAI must be designed holistically and integratively. School principals serve as transformational leaders in strengthening institutional capacity and academic supervision. Teachers are expected to develop technology-based learning that incorporates Islamic values. Meanwhile, student-centered approaches that emphasize collaboration, digital literacy, and character development are essential to ensure the sustainability of PAI quality amid digital disruption. Thus, quality control strategies for PAI in the Society 5.0 era must reflect a synergy between spiritual values, modern pedagogy, and technological innovation.
