Abstract

Technology plays a very important role in the field of education in the current era of digitalization. Various technology-based learning media are being implemented to improve the effectiveness of the teaching and learning process. Just like science and social studies learning at the elementary level, which requires interactive and engaging learning media so that students can understand the lessons more easily, especially for abstract material. One effort that can be made is to present teaching materials through interactive videos using engaging audio-visuals in learning that can spark students’ interest in learning, thus having a positive impact on increasing students’ knowledge. This research aims to develop valid and engaging Canva-based learning videos for metamorphosis material in 3rd-grade elementary school IPAS subjects. The method used is Research and Development (R&D) with the ADDIE model. Data collection techniques include observation, interviews, and questionnaires, which are then analyzed quantitatively and qualitatively. The validation results by subject matter experts, media experts, and learning practitioners showed that the developed learning video had an average score of 92.56% and was categorized as highly valid. The attractiveness test of the learning video was conducted in Class III of SDI Bahrul Maghfiroh, which has 12 students. From this test, the attractiveness level of the developed learning video was declared very interesting with a score of 90.89%.
