Abstract

This article examines polygamy mentoring conducted by Kiai Hafidin. Polygamy mentoring is initially the needs of some people who are dying to be polygamous however they own insufficient knowledge to do polygamy and seek polygamy mentors who are successful in polygamy. The purpose of this study is knowing the manifestation of Max Weber's social actions done by Kiai Hafidin to polygamy mentoring. The results of this study is Kiai Hafidin's social measures in the polygamy mentoring according to the social action indicator of Max Weber's, namely a) Traditional Actions, efforts to maintain Islamic traditions and the law are carrying out polygamy and indoctrinating the community not to fear polygamy; b) Affective Actions, namely Kiai Hafidin feels sad and worries about people because of the lack of knowledge for polygamy and feelsproud because he can help the society to solve the household problems especially in polygamy; c) Instrumentally rational Actions are willing to pay ads to campaign for a polygamy mentoring on social media; d) Rationality Actions of Value, including valuesof Religion and morals like polygamy blessings, justice values in polygamy and besides Religious values, there are economic values.
