Abstract

The characteristics of a Schwarzschild-like wormhole are always challenging, with the main issues being stability and traversability. In this study, we construct a metric for a traversable Schwarzschild-like wormhole in isotropic coordinates and analyze the behavior of
the traversable wormhole. We demonstrate the embedding diagram of a Schwarzschild-like wormhole to visualize the throat of the wormhole, showing two distinct spacetime properties. We also identify the geodesic of a particle in a Schwarzschild-like wormhole spacetime. The trajectory of particles moving to the throat of Schwarzschild-like spacetime is determined by angular momentum and kinetic energy. The angular momentum shows how particles move into the throat, while the kinetic energy determines whether the particle can reach the throat or not. This work could provide a promising approach to investigating the dynamics of particles and the stability conditions near Schwarzschild-like wormholes, thereby producing a deeper understanding of traversability and providing observational evidence.
