Abstract

This research aims to test and analyze the influence of fintech on consumer behavior, the influence of financial literacy on consumer behavior, the role of self-control in mediating Fintech and financial literacy on consumer behavior of online shopping e-commerce shopee students of State Universities in Malang City. This study applies a quantitative method with an explanatory research type. The main data was obtained through a questionnaire measured using a Likert scale. The population consists of students of State Universities in Malang City who use the Shopee application and the exact number is unknown, so the sample was calculated using the Malhotra formula and resulted in 128 respondents. Data collected through questionnaires were analyzed using SmartPLS 4.0 software.
The results showed that the fintech variable had a positive and insignificant effect. While financial literacy and self-control had a positive and significant effect on consumer behavior. Fintech and financial literacy had a positive and significant effect on self-control. Fintech and financial literacy had a positive and significant effect on consumer behavior through self- control.
