Abstract

The impact of consuming values (functional, social, emotional, religious, and epistemic) on the desire to invest in sharia instruments is examined in this study using attitude as a mediating variable. Using 260 retail investor respondents from Java, Sumatra, and Sulawesi, this study employs PLS-SEM analysis to test the measurement model and structural model quantitatively. The study's findings show that only emotional values and attitudes have a direct impact on the inclination to invest in sharia. In the meantime, other variables are not significantly impacted directly. However, it has been demonstrated that attitude does not mediate the relationship between social and epistemic values, but it does mediate the association between investment intention andfunctional, emotional, and religious values. These findings demonstrate that attitude is a key factor in linking investment intention with consumption values in the context of Islamic finance. This study model has a high potential for prediction, with R2 values of 55% for intention and 63.9% for attitude. The findings of this study emphasize the significance of literacy and communication tactics that emphasize emotional aspects and the formation of positive attitudes in order to improve the involvement of Muslim investors
