Abstract

The rapid growth of financial technology (fintech) has transformed investment accessibility among young generations, including university students. However, students’ financial literacy and investment competence remain relatively low, while financial management learning in higher education is still dominated by theoretical approaches. This study aims to develop and validate interactive investment learning media to improve students’ motivation in financial management courses. The research employed a Research and Development (R&D) approach using the ADDIE model, consisting of Analysis, Design, Development, Implementation, and Evaluation stages. The developed product was a flipbook-based interactive e-book integrated with practical investment activities using Bibit and Pegadaian Digital applications. Validation involved material experts, media experts, and small-group student trials. The results showed that the media obtained a validity score of 96.68% from media experts, 91.25% from material experts, and 82.82% from student users, all categorized as “highly feasible.” The findings indicate that the interactive investment media is valid, practical, and capable of enhancing students’ motivation and engagement in financial management learning. This study contributes to innovative financial education by integrating experiential learning and fintech-based investment practices in higher education.
