Abstract
Poor T-cell function is implicated in susceptibility to infections in COPD patients.
Proportion of circulating PD-1+ CD4+ T-cells is elevated in AECOPD patients.
Systemic inflammation is associated with elevated proportion of PD-1+ CD4+ T-cells.
PD-1 blockade increased the production of IFNγ, TNF, IL-6 and IL-10 by anti-CD3-induced PBMC.
