Abstract

English:

Isyraqi or isyraqiyah (illuminatif) is the thought developed by Suhrawardi al-Maqtul by integrating between the teachings of Sufism and philosophy. In detail, according to Hussein Nasr, isyraqi is based on five sources of thought that are Sufism, Islamic pariphatetic philosophy, pre-Islamic philosophy, the wisdom of ancient Iran, and the teachings of Zoroaster. The main doctrine essentially consists of two concepts, namely gradation of essence and self-awareness. The first concept relates to the ontological question, while the second concept relates to the epistemological question. From both concepts then born third teachings, mitsâl nature, in which the ontological structure of spiritual reality or ‘high nature’ is seemed to have a likeness or take forms in concrete picture of matter nature or 'lower nature'.

Isyraqi atau isyraqiyah (illuminatif) adalah pemikiran yang dikembangkan oleh Suhrawardi al-Maqtul dengan cara memadukan antara ajaran sufisme dengan filsafat. Secara lebih rinci, menurut Husein Nasr, pemikiran isyraqi ini didasarkan atas lima sumber pemikiran, yaitu sufisme, filsafat paripatetik Islam, filsafat pra-Islam, hikmah Iran kuno, dan ajaran Zoroaster. Ajaran pokoknya terdiri atas dua hal, yaitu gradasi esensi dan kesadaran diri. Konsep yang pertama berkaitan dengan persoalan ontologis, sedang yang kedua berkaitan dengan epistemologis. Dari dua ajaran ini kemudian lahir ajaran atau teori ketiga, alam mitsâl, di mana struktur ontologis dari realitas spiritual atau ‘alam atas’ dianggap mempunyai kemiripan atau mengambil bentuk-bentuk gambar konkrit dari alam materi atau ‘alam bawah’.
