Abstract

Kuliah Kerja Mahasaiswa (KKM) is a program organized by Maulana Malik Ibrahim State Islamic University of Malang, in which the implementation is carried out in the holiday period of odd semester. This KKM activity is contextual by transforming the development paradigm into an empowerment paradigm. One of the locations of KKM this time is Bunut Wetan Village in Pakis District, Malang Regency. The implementers of the activity at the location were KKM students of group 52 and 187. The method used in this KKM activity was Participatory Action Research (PAR) method. This method is intended to see, listen, and understand the social symptoms that exist in society. The ultimate goal of the activity using PAR method is the efforts to empower the community. Based on the PAR method, the parties involved in UIN KKM activities were members of KKM group, community, village officials, along with local religious leaders.
