Abstract
Sufism is the heart for the implementation of Islamic teachings and the key to perfection of amaliah, besides other things that are equally important and should not be abandoned namely the faith and shari'ah. This paper will examine more deeply the position of Sufism in Islam today and its position in education, especially in Islamic Education. As well as this discussion will also examine how the meaning of Islam in Sufism that will comprehensively examine some of the main teachings in Sufism. In library research studies there are at least four main characteristics that writers need to consider include: First, that the researcher is dealing directly with text (nash) or numeric data, not with direct knowledge from the field. Second, the library data is "ready to use" meaning that the researcher does not fall directly into the field because the researcher is dealing directly with the data source in the library. Third, that library data are generally secondary sources, in the sense that researchers obtain material or data from the second hand and not the original data from the first data in the field. Fourth, that the library data conditions are not limited by interest and time. The results of the study show that Islam as a religion that is universal and valid throughout the ages, can only be understood its originality and authenticity by studying, examining, and combining the trilogy of Islamic religion in the form of discourse on Faith, Islam, and Ihsan. All three are recognized as the key treasury in Islamic religious patterns.
