Abstract

This study aims to explain the integrated management model of Islamic Higher Education (IHE) and pesantren or Islamic boarding school (IBS) in Indonesia. The study was conducted in two different IHE to determine the differences in Pesantren management in public and private IHE. The survey conducted with a qualitative approach. Data collected through observation, interviews, and documentation. This study found differences management in integrating between pesantren in public and private Islamic Higher Education (IHE) because both have different traditions and founding backgrounds. However, both have similarities in advancing Islamic education in Indonesia
