Abstract

Finger puppet games are one of the creative learning media, creating a fun learning atmosphere and being able to increase students' learning motivation. The purpose of this study is to find out the use and effectiveness of finger puppet game media in speech learning. This research uses a quantitative approach with experimental methods. The population is islamic elementary school students, sampled for an experimental class of 25 students and a control class of 27 students. Observation, interview and test data collection tools. The result of the study was the use of finger puppet game media in speech learning using several steps, namely teachers dividing students into small groups, explaining the material, giving a new vocabulary. Then the teacher creates a race between the group and each individual to re-explain the theme that has been learned, for the winner to be given the prize as motivation. This finger puppet game is effective, based on test scores there is a 25% increase.
