Abstract

Through this teaching material, it is expected that students can understand the communicative purpose of explanation text. Identifying the generic structure of the text based on the genre-based text, and able to make a draft of writing an explanation text. This text is about Islam that has, from its beginnings, placed a high premium on education and has experienced a long and rich intellectual tradition. Knowledge or 'ilm occupies a significant position within Islam, as evidenced by the more than 800 references to it in Islam's most revered book, the Holy Qur’an.
