Abstract

The effort to achieve optimal learning achievement from student learning process can also be influenced by internal and external factors. Internal factors are factors that arise from within the students themselves while external factors are factors that arise from outside the student self that is the cultural social environment, including the family environment, school environment and community environment and motivation .This research was conducted in MAN 2 BATU by proposing three research foci: 1. Is there a significant influence socio-cultural environment with the achievement of learning subjects Sociology MAN 2 Department of Social Science Batu 2.is there no significant influence motivation learn within Achievement learning subjects Sociology MAN 2 Department of IPS Batu, 3 . Is there a significant influence socio-cultural environment and learning motivation on the achievement of learning subjects Sociology MAN 2 Department of Social Science Batu City. The method of this study is a quantitative approach. The data consists of primary data covering the results of test / report cards of secondary students of this study include the available sources can be interviews, documentation, etc. While the data source consists of respondents is people who provide responses (responses) to the questions posed. Respondents in this research will consist of class XI students who are in IPS majors, As Based on the analysis and discussion that has been done in the previous chapter it can be concluded as follows: From the linear regression equation as follows Y = 36.680 + 0.297X1 + 0.974X2 . Based on the equation it is seen that the regression coefficient of each social and cultural environment variables and motivation to learn have a significant effect on student achievement of IPS Department of Sociology Subject MAN 2 Batu Town, Socio-Cultural Environment has a significant positive effect on student achievement of IPS Department of Sociology Subject MAN 2 City of Batu proved by t count = 2,385> t table = 1,98 and sig value 0,01 <0,05, Motivation have positive significant effect on student achievement of IPS Department of Sociology Subject MAN 2 Batu City proved by t count value = 10,31> t table = 1,98 and sig value 0,00 <0,05.
