Abstract

The purpose of the study was to determine the procedures for making budgetary policies, managing education budgets, and the proportion of gender-responsive education budgets in private schools. This policy research uses a qualitative approach. This research data was collected by interview, observation, and documentation study in private schools in various regions in Indonesia. Data analysis uses data organizing techniques, coding, verification, and conclusions. The results of the study show: (1) the
procedure for making education budget policies in schools starts from the annual work meeting that discusses the strategic plan and is outlined in the work program. 2) budget management through the planning, organizing, use, evaluation of the budget, accountability processes, availability of infrastructure that considers the different needs of men and women, and religion. Policy recommendations are: (1) to school managers, it is necessary to understand the guidelines for making gender-responsive education
budget policies, (2) the government. Conduct comprehensive gender-responsive education development and budgeting, especially for private schools.
