Abstract

The purpose of this study was to examine and analyze the effect of workload and work stress on the performance of nurses at Cemoro Donomulyo Public Health Center Malang, and to examine and analyze the effect of work stress as a mediating variable in the relationship between workload and employee performance. This study uses quantitative research methods with an explanatory research approach. The sample is all 50 nurses at the Cemoro Donomulyo Public Health Center, Malang, and the data analysis method used is path analysis. The results showed: (1) workload had a significant negative effect on employee performance, (2) workload had a significant positive effect on work stress, (3) work stress had a significant negative effect on employee performance, (4) work stress could mediate the effect of workload. on the performance of nurses in Cemoro Donomulyo Public Health Center Malang.
