Abstract

In this paper, the researchers dealt with: 1) How to manage the language environment at Islamic Boarding school of Ar-Rahmah in Malang 2) and the process of managing the linguistic environment at Islamic Boarding school of Ar-Rahmah Malang. The researchers collected data in this research using qualitative research and descriptive-analytical study, which is of an educational management approach. The data-gathering technique is interviewing and monitoring the Linguistic Environment Management Program at the Islamic Boarding school of Ar-Rahmah Malang. The researchers found that in the Islamic Boarding school for Memorization Al-Quran the artificial linguistic environment, which is represented by the learning and teaching activities in the classes, and language programs, including the presence of the language department that asks all linguistic matters in the institute and the presence of the language supervisor and the language engine. To manage the linguistic environment in Ar-Rahma Islamic Boarding School, it begins with planning the language programs, then appointing teachers and supervisors, then designing the schedule, then organizing the linguistic environment, then implementing the linguistic environment, and the other way of managing the linguistic environment means monitoring the linguistic environment programs in this institute.
