Abstract
This article discusses the idea of Scientia Sacra which was pioneered by Nasr as an alternative to
solve modern human’s problems. In short, Scientia Sacra can be interpreted as sacred knowledge or sacred
wisdom that can be found in spiritual institutions. This idea aims for finding an element of commonality in all
cosmic entities as God's creatures and then dismiss one’s superior feelings towards other humans or other
creatures. With the library research method, the author tries to read directly Nasr's works that talk about
Scientia Sacra and those related to it, assisted by several works outside of Nasr that have related essence, also
refer directly to government regulations regarding Arabic language education policies in Indonesia. Implicitly
the value of Scientia Sacra can be found in foreign language policies in Indonesia, including Arabic language
education.
