Abstract

The purpose of this study was to reveal the cultural aspects of Nahwlearning at Islamic Boarding School, South Kalimantan. This research wcase study research with a qualitative approach carried out at Darul IlmiIslamic Boarding School for Girl, South Kalimantan. The results of this studshowed the cultural aspects of Nahwu learning at Islamic Boarding SchoSouth Kalimantan, were: the use of Banjarese Malay in explaining the Nahwrules, the strategy of the Syahid, the explanation of the Syahid table aBanjarese translation, the Syahid is in the form of a concept a graphic imatable consisting of Syahid, kalimat, alamat, hukum, mahal, middle liys, a’mialamat and final liys, which each table contains sentence functions froexamples related to the topic being studied. Banjarese translations includ“Bermula” the marker for “أدتبم”, “yaitu” the marker for “ربخ”, “ulih” themarker for “لعاف”, “akan” the marker for “لوعفم” The affix “nya” the markfor “ةفاضإ”, “hal keadaan” the marker for “لاح”, and “berbilang” of markfor “عمج”. This study indicated that nahwu learning based on regional cultureby combining concept learning conditions and the use of the mother tongcontributes to facilitate and help students' difficulties in learning Nahwu.
